Employees of “KTZ-Freight transportation” JSC received certificates on risk management

On 12-13 December of this year the Department of strategic development and risk management of “KTZ-Freight transportation” JSC held a training seminar on “Risk management”. The training is aimed at improving the the Company’s effectiveness in the risk management system (hereinafter — RMS), risk culture, as well as a planned introduction of the RMS in the branches of the Company.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the departments of operating locomotives stock, investment policy and finance, rolling stock, legal support, and also by risk-coordinators of 15 branches of the Company.

The seminar was conducted by experienced practitioners of the “PricewaterhouseCoopers” company, specializing in the field of risk assessment, cost-effectiveness, implementation and development of the internal control system.

During the training sessions basic principles of risk identification, risk assessment and inventory approach and risk maps were disclosed. The participants also carried out practical tasks, such as building business processes with identifying risks and controls, filling Risk Register and comment on a specific risk by risk owners.

According to general manager of strategic development and risk management Gulmira Eskalieva “this seminar will enhance the level of responsibility of structural units of the Company in risk management processes.”

At the end of the seminar all participants received certificates.
