The first batch of liquefied natural gas has been transported from Kazakhstan to China

On 13 January this year 18 tank cars were forwarded from Dostyk station to Chinese Kuitun with liquefied hydrocarbon gas produced in Kazakhstan.

Transportation of liquefied natural gas from Kazakhstan to China by rail has been carried out for the first time. Previously such a cargo was transported by road.

With the increasing China’s demand for natural gas transportation of liquefied natural gas by the route Dostyk — Kuitun opens up new opportunities for increasing the volume of export of Kazakhstan’s hydrocarbon as well as for transit of the similar fuel from Russia.

“KTZ — Freight transportation” JSC approaches to this task with great responsibility, being aware of the importance of this field for the development of Kazakhstan’s economy.
